If you desire cool shade near a river in the hot summer months, or if your trip takes you to the valley of Drava, we suggest you stop and see one of the few wool spinning manufactures in Slovenia – SOVEN in the village Selnici ob Dravi. We get and process ecologically raised sheep wool. Our speciality is to make as many useful and varied products from wool, thus helping Slovenian sheep herders to sell their wool. We are aware that large quantities of Slovene wool still end up in trash or fires.

 
In Soven we’ll present to you the purchase of wool, the preparation of wool for further work, spinning, hand and machine knitting and so much more. We’ll introduce you to the most common additional housework women traditionally did – knitting wool products. At our factory store and a display salon (open during summer between 9am and 4pm and from 9-12 on Saturdays), you can buy our own products at best prices.
