The restless spirit and curiosity have always driven me forward. With my first travels around the Middle East and Egypt I learned that meeting different cultural environments is the thing, which fulfils me the most in my life. A very special experience was traveling around South America, with my six month old daughter. It was full of interesting meetings and with no real problems.

In the recent years I travel alone. Most often in winter time, when I take a few weeks off to travel to warm places. I don’t really like the cold and the snow. Since my first travels I always return full of impressions and photographs, which I publish in many – mostly Slovenian – newspapers and magazines. I also relive my travels through sharing them with an audience. I’m attracted by anything interesting, it’s just that I don’t really like the tourist traps and huge crowds in some tourist places. I prefer getting to know the lives of the local people, the nature and small little details.

In spring and autumn months I take the car and go around Europe. I mostly like the islands. I’ve been to most of the Adriatic islands, I’ve talked to people of the autonomous islands of Aland, seen the Faroe Islands, Iceland…

Altogether it’s over 60 countries I’ve travelled and over 1000 articles I’ve published, with many experience, events and memories in them. You can find more at http://napotki.blogspot.com/.

Despite travel experience and curiosities of foreign lands (the architecture, parks, tradition, food, fruit…) I also write stories for the youngest readers: http://preberimipravljico.blogspot.com/.
