Luca Mian

My name is Luca Mian, I am 26 years old, and I come from Nova Gorica. I hold a master's degree in tourism. I have spent several years working at the touristic and gambling company Hit, d.d., where I have held various positions in the hospitality and gambling sectors. As part of my job, I help others discover beautiful places in my hometown, whereas in my free time, I prefer to be in the role of a traveller myself. Trips to nearby destinations are always more fun with my puppy Phoebe by my side. I am also a big sports fan – I especially like cycling, but also enjoy running.

My desire to travel started in elementary school, when my mother gave up on our usual holidays on the Croatian coast, because we spent most of the time under a parasol reading books. Our first »real« trip was to Barcelona, which sparked my curiosity and led me to explore places not just in Europe, but also on other continents. I have visited more than 35 countries on 5 different continents by now. Planning and storytelling about those trips bring me nearly as much joy as travelling itself. That is why I want my articles to inspire others to start discovering the world as well.
