Youth Hostel Pod Voglom – Special Offer and Winter Packages

Hostel Pod Voglom is located at one of the most beautiful locations in Slovenia – right next to the Bohinj lake in the Triglav National park. In the winter time its location offers an outstanding view to the mountains and the forests covered with snow. In the winter months the hostel team has prepared plenty of possibilities for spending active holiday in Bohinj.

All the guests are also welcome to stay at the hostel and organize their vacation on their own. The hostel Pod Voglom staff are glad to offer any kind of information and suggestions to its guests.

In winter, if you don't feel like skiing, also a short walk around the lake can have a special charm for the visitors, or a journey to Vogel with a cable car and even an escursion to the Savica waterfall.  In the evening you can warm yourself in the hostel dining room next to the fireplace, read one of the books from the shelves or watch a movie on the TV. There are always some  social games available for the guests, a table football or picado.

For the skiing fans, the hostel offers 15% discount, buying a 2-days skipass (or more days) for the Vogel Ski Center or for the Skipass Vogel-Kobla, which allows the tourists to ski at two different ski centers. The transport to the ski slopes is organized with the ski bus that stops in front of the hostel every day.

For the guests who want to stay active even in the evening hours, we organize the night outdoor activities. You can join us on the longest Slovenian sledging route from Vogar Mountain. We will drive you to the starting place with our 4W terrain cars, where you will be equipped with all the necessary equipment - sledges, head lamps and information from our instructors and at the end we will be expecting you with a cup of a warm tea.

Hostel Pod Voglom also organizes activities such as snow rafting, day and night trips with  snowshoes, winter paragliding, mountainbiking, ice climbing, sledding or skating.

Another possibility for the visitors is also exploring the surrounding with the snowshoes which can be rented anytime at the reception. This way, you can walk further on the sideways of the Bohinj mountains and meadows, Pokljuka plateau and through the magnificent pine forests in the area, coloured in white.
