Dublin International New Logo, New Facelift!

Our Dublin International Hostel has undergone a facelift over the last few months and to celebrate we have launched a new logo for the hostel. Funky, vibrant and fun is the new message we would like to send out to all travellers looking to come visit Ireland’s trendy capital.

Some features of our facelift include the following:
• All of the ground and 1st floor rooms of the old building have been re-floored with wood finish - this gives a dramatic effect to the rooms and makes for brighter and cleaner rooms.
• The front area of the Hostel has been cleaned up with new signage and a new light box placed at the front of the building. The front door has been painted a bright green colour and the railings have also being painted. New flower baskets are on their way!
• Painters have been in and gone and have repainted all the reception area and all of the interior building including the toilets and bathrooms.
• As security is a major priority here we have completely upgraded the security system – it is now easier to use and better able to provide clearer pictures should they be required.
• A proposition has been submitted to purchase new burners which will improve the cost effectiveness of the hostel in relation to its heating and hot water production. Also timers will be fitted so that our gas usage will be reduced and hence we will become more environmentally friendly.
• Hand railings and barriers will now be put in the carpark to reduce risk of accidents in this area.
• The hostel is putting itself forward for HiQ certification which is a quality initiative being run by Hostelling International. We hope to go for certification for this in July 09 and the hostel team has and will be doing a lot of work in this regard. We are very lucky to have the team of staff that we have – they are the best attribute of the hostel which is constantly reflected in all comment cards received both on line and at our reception desk. Our new Knockree Hostel in Wicklow is also going forward for this quality certification.
