The Kažipot holiday society

The Kažipot holiday society has been active for several years already. It’s a non-profitable organization that has been around for 50 years. Their projects are ment for the youth, but can also be interesting to the older population.

Kažipot organizes travelling lectures, trips abroad and in Slovenia, informal education and projects for the youth. Among the new projects is also the “Kk? Tk!”.

It’s a sort of a market, where different youth organizations from Velenje will present themselves and their initiative on spending the free time. The youth is usually left to themselves and sometimes to the street, so we wish to get them involved with different organizations.

The event will take place at the stadium Velenje. Visitors will be able to attend many workshops, including a DJ workshop, a rollerblade hockey match, etc. Visitors will also be able to enjoy the sun with a refreshing drink or two in the hand and they while get to know the organizations they might join.  But the whole event will last until midnight, as from 8pm on there will be competitions where prizes can be won.

The basic goal is to familiarize the youth with the possible free time activities, but several organizations in Velenje will get a chance to connect and start cooperating.

The project is not only local, but it’s even international as organizations from Hungary, Germany and Italy have been invited.

The event will take place on September 4th 2009, and we expect many people to attend, possibly many potentioal new member as well.
