Hostelling International USA will be opening a LEED registered hostel in Boston this June, just in time for the busy summer tourism season.  LEED is a rigorous “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” designation that puts HI at the vanguard of hostel development in the United States through the implementation of Green technologies and operational management.

The new hostel will promote eco-tourism globally. Guests will facility will use less building energy and have less of an impact on the environment, which was a key criteria in the development of the new Boston hostel.  However, of equal importance is fabulous style and ultimate guest comfort –and the new HI Boston hostel delivers this in spades!

This state-of-the-art facility will be third largest hostel in North America, and is located in the heart of downtown Boston with great city views at the intersection of the midtown cultural district, theatre district, and Chinatown.  It’s the perfect base to really explore all that this unique city has to offer. The in-hostel experience will be incredible with myriad of onsite services and amenities.  A perfect balance of personal privacy with our new “bunk oasis”, which gives you your own space within a 4 or 6 bed dorm and is connected to ensuite bathroom facilities.  There are also a number of private room configurations available and can be reserved.  Open common area abounds where you can relax and have latte from the café and enjoy free wifi, or better still mingle and meet with other guests.  A full self-cater kitchen and dinning area make preparing your feast and connecting with others in style fun and easy.
