Multi-activities packages 2009/2010 - Youth Hostel Bledec

Youth Hostel Bledec is situated in a calm part of the town, only a few steps from St. Martin’s Church. It is only a five-minute walk to the lake. A pleasant footpath leads past our hostel in the direction of the castle, where it is possible to come in only ten minutes. A well-supplied store is right on the corner, only a minute away. Pubs, bars and restaurants are in the vicinity. The capacity of our hostel is 13 rooms with 55 beds. All rooms have private bathroom, some are also equipped with TV. We have a common room and free internet offer.

We have prepared an offer for winter season, January –May. Natural beauties and fresh Alpine air are inviting you to take highly active holidays. The fabulous picture of winter bound Bled will be impressed in your memory for all times.

1st day
- arrival and welcome drink in YH Bledec
- free time for Bled sightseeing
- Dinner (Set menu with typical Slovene food) in YH Bledec

2nd day
- continental breakfast in YH Bledec
- FUN ON SNOW* – is taking place at Pokljuka plateau in Triglav national park. 3 activities in one day (sledging, riding the butt-shaker, snowshoeing) organized by our local outdoor adventure agency

3rd day
- continental breakfast in YH Bledec
- Skiing in Ski Center Vogel – VOGEL SKI CENTER lies high above the magnificent Lake Bohinj, in the heart of protected territory of the Triglav National Park. From the foot of the mountain (nor far from the Lake Bohinj) you are lifted to the altitude of 1535 m above sea level, from where you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the Triglav mountain range, all the way to the Kamnik Alps.

FUN ON SNOW

We will introduce you to a wide range of winter activities, provide transportation and equipment, professional guidance and take you to discover hidden corners of our beautiful country.

SNOWSHOEING
It’s the best way to explore the snow covered terrains which are normally inaccessible. You’ll be able to walk on a thick layer of snow without sinking. Snow shoeing is suitable for all the family and an excellent way to spend time in the winter. There is no advance knowledge needed.

SLEDGING
Great fun for everyone!
If you want to relive the already forgotten joys of childhood or just relax in a slightly different way, then a sled ride is just the thing for you.We will take you to the most suitable terrains, where the whole family can enjoy!

BUTT-SHAKER
Discover one of the oldest fun activities on snow, the butt-shaker. Over 200 years ago the best way of getting to the valley, today an unforgettable experience on snow!
