Rev a 4WD engine along the inland sand tracks or endless beaches, hike part of the famous ‘Great Walk’ or laze on the beach and take in the breathtaking views.

Fraser Island is one of the world’s most beautiful islands and it’s easy to see why. Discover majestic 75 Mile Beach, crystal clear lakes, pristine rainforests and amazing sand blows. The island is rich in wildlife playing home to native birds, dingoes, dolphins, turtles and migratory whales so be sure to have you camera handy to get that one-in-a-million wildlife photo!

The hostel has been recently refurbished but maintains its homely island feel with prominent wooden beams and cosy cabins plus a licensed bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. All rooms are unsuited cabins with a mixture of doubles, twins and multi-share rooms plus Diva’s Dorms for the ladies at no extra cost. Dorm rooms have spacious king singles (no bunk beds!) with secure lockers.

Facilities include a swimming pool, internet, 4WD hire, fishing tackle hire, pool table and a bar/bistro with well priced meals.  Theme nights are hosted regularly with trivia quizzes, pool competitions, karaoke evenings, toga bashes, pajama parties, Mexican fiestas and international sporting matches are screened live!

The hostel offers pre-booked transfers daily from Hervey Bay YHA at 8am or make your own way by 4WD from Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay ferry terminals. Follow directions to Happy Valley.
