The village Bohinjska Bela is situated on the left bank of the river Sava Bohinjka, south-west from the tourist centre Bled. The oldest part of the village is the southern part called Spodnja vas with Saint Margaret parish church, cultural centre, post office, shop, bus stop, pub »Rot«.
Less then is Podklanec with its railway station and pub »Batišt« with rooms to let. About a kilometre farther there is Soteska, which is the starting point to the gorge towards Bohinj. Above the village there are mountines Galetovec (1265 m) and Babji zob ( 1123) with the veautiful view of the country. On the northeastern side of the rock od Babji zob, there is a village Kupljenik with Saint Stephen church and a unique view of Bled and its surroundings.
The river Sava Bohinjka is one of the cleanest European rivers. There are various sorts of fish, including the most popular troat and grayling. The river Sava je particularly appreciated by canoe and kayak rowers.
In Bohinjska Bela you can rent a room, find delicious food, practise alpine climbing on Iglica, go fishing in the Sava or do other water sports. The village is also a suitable starting point for shorter or longer tours.
