Have you ever heard about the largest Children and Youth Centre of Europe?

Zánka Children and Youth Centre is located on the northern shore of The Lake Balaton in Hungary, close to the popular tourist attractions of Tihany and Keszthely. Our Centre is the largest youth camp in Centre-Europe, 100 km from the Slovenian border. Its location ensures perfect accessibility by train, bus and car as well.
The cultural and historical values of the region, the unique natural beauty of the Balaton Highlands, the fresh air and the nearness of the lake attract every year thousands of young people to Zánka. The Holiday Centre in a 209 ha area with green forests and romantic valleys creates a Paradise for those who loves the nature, recreation and taking trips.

Our guests can choose from countless types and different levels of accommodation. Our offers are from the camping sites or simple room with 10 or 6 beds trough two or three bedded room to the 3star hotel.

The centre offers wide range of sporting activities with its sport fields and facilities (stadium, sport hall, football pitches, beach volleyball and football fields, basketball and tennis courts). The establishment even has its own beach with baywatch service, harbour and non stop medical attendance. There are more possibilities to have fun on the water trough renting boats, canoes and dragon boats. 

In the last years there has been several big events taken places in Zanka organize specially for the young children and the youth (Balatone Festival, Transborder Hungarian Camp, sport events for handicapped children). Foreign language speaking animation group ensures the great time for the guest. We review programs and we established contact with the nearby museums, program organizers and the entertainment centres (spa Hévíz, castle of Sümeg, Zoo park in Veszprém, bob-slide park in Balatonfűzfő), with these we have improved our program offer. In 2009 there will be the 10 day long International Horse and Wine Festival Series. This summer will be opened a new adventure park “Zánka-land”, and we plan to establish a paintball battle field as well.

To our company it’s important to ensure the holiday and recreation of the handicapped people. For the disabled and handicapped guests we can provide services as technical and personal to fulfil their special needs: there are rooms with disabled access, elevator on the beach for the disabled people to get into the water this way they can also enjoy the Hungarian sea. This is the only such equipment on the Northern shore of the Lake Balaton.
